Punky Tolson's deep love for Jesus began when she came to truly know and believe God through the study of His Word. A single woman until the age of 43, Punky had pursued many a path, including a career in the entertainment industry, trying to find true love and lasting satisfaction in her life. But it was through personal trials, wrong choices and heartbreaks that she was really gripped by the love of Jesus Christ and grew into a personal, intimate and loving relationship with Him that transformed her life and deeply satisfied her heart!

By God's mercy and grace, Punky began teaching women's Bible studies in her home town of Orlando, Florida until moving to Dallas, Texas in 2004 where she currently teaches two weekly groups, and disciples women one-on-one. She has also had the opportunity to speak to women's groups throughout the country, sharing her love for Jesus and the difference He's made in her life. Punky loves the Lord and loves being with His people! Her heart's desire (Psalm 37:4) is to help others come into a personal and intimate relationship with Jesus, to love God's Word and daily live out His powerful Truth in their lives!

Punky and her wonderful husband, Dr. John Tolson, were married in 2001 and are true partners in the Gospel. Their life's mission is to serve the Lord by making disciples for Jesus Christ (Matthew 28:19-20). John is the founder of The Gathering USA, Inc. (a discipleship and outreach market-place ministry to men); he is the co-author of "The Four Priorities" book and "Becoming a Person of High Impact" discipleship training program, and also teaches a co-ed Sunday school class, BASICS, at Highland Park Presbyterian Church in Dallas. Currently John serves as Life Coach and Team Chaplain for the Dallas Cowboys NFL team.

Following Jesus Christ is certainly an adventure!! And in 2003 the Tolsons set out on a new adventure, following the Lord's call to Dallas to further extend the work of The Gathering through a new disicpling ministry there known as The Tolson Group (501c3). The focus of their ministry is the training and equipping men and women to become maturing, reproducing disciples of Jesus Christ.

Punky has been blessed with a beautiful and godly stepdaughter, Christin, and son-in-law, Joe Hutchinson, and three precious granddaughters, Adriene, Adair and Josie who all live in Marietta, Georgia; and a wonderful stepson, Luke Hill Tolson in Orlando, FL.
